OZ Powerball Help & FAQ!

Overview

OZ Powerball has been running since 1996 and is based on America’s hugely popular Powerball, which is also available at Lottoland. The draw takes place every Thursday and features eight prize tiers which is more than any other Australian Lotto.

How do I pick my numbers?

Pick six numbers from a main pool of 1–40 and then select a Powerball number from 1–20.

How does the draw work?

Numbers are draws from two separate drums. First, the six main numbers are drawn. After this the Powerball number is drawn from a second drum.

How do I win the Jackpot?

To hit the Jackpot you’ve got to match all six main numbers and the Powerball number.

How much can I win?

The minimum jackpot for this draw is *$3 million (Australian dollars), however jackpots have risen to over *$50m.

How can I be sure I will get paid?

Rest assured that Lottoland is an established and reputable international lottery betting company. We are fully licensed by the Irish government, and by other countries worldwide. These licences are dependent on our ability to guarantee all payments to winners.

At Lottoland you bet on the outcome of the official draw. For all intents and purposes you will have the exact same customer experience as if you were playing the official lottery.

Smaller Payments
We make all payouts directly from the fund we have acquired from total ticket sales.

Larger Payments
We take out policies with world leading insurers, including Lloyds of London, to cover larger payments, typically those in excess of €5m. A portion of the price you pay when purchasing a ticket goes towards these policies.

What is a subscription?

The subscription feature allows you to set up a running line or lines for a given lottery draw. Lottery subscriptions will save you time and ensure that you never miss your chance to win that big jackpot. Just select the subscription option prior to purchasing your line to set up your running line/s. You can cancel your subscription at anytime.

Why should I play OZ Powerball?

The OZ Powerball offers an attractive minimum jackpot of Australian $3m and seven more lucrative prize tiers. The 11.30am draw time presents an exciting alternative to the majority of our other non-Australian draws, which either take place during the evening or in the small hours of the morning.
